One Drop for Plus Kombucha

The brand music "One Drop," produced as part of a customer-participatory branding project to co-create and share the appeal of the Nagoya-based kombucha beverage brand "Plus Kombucha," is based on Acid Jazz/Smooth Jazz. Through a recording workshop with various people connected to "Plus Kombucha," sounds symbolizing the brand community and kombucha's use scenes were incorporated into the track.

The sound of kombucha being poured into glasses, the clinking of glasses, the laughter of children and customers, cheers during toasts, brewery noises, and unique instruments such as the oud and foot tambourine played by workshop participants are all part of this rich, community-driven work that captures the essence of "Plus Kombucha." The mastering was done by Andy 'Hippy' Baldwin, known for his work with Oasis, Pet Shop Boys, and Blur, at London's Metropolis Studio.

The artwork, "Plus colors," was co-created as part of the same project, with painter Konatsu Ishijima responsible for its production. The concept is "art that resonates with the places, people, and things that Plus Kombucha creates." At the flagship store of "Plus Kombucha," Ishijima, the brand owner, and customers sipped kombucha while creating the artwork. Ishijima used live painting as the foundation, and participants in the workshop tore and collaged their drawings to create a unique symbol of the brand.
