石島小夏Konatsu Ishijima

福岡・糸島の海と山に囲まれ、自然、食、そして、共に過ごす人々との触れ合いの中で、"日常に宿る生命力"を、テーマに表現活動を行う。三度の飯と海が好き。My work centers on the theme of “The Life Force Within the Everyday.” Living by the sea with my family of four, surrounded by abundant nature, I create in rhythm with the changing seasons and the quiet transformations of daily life. For me, art is not separate from living—it emerges from it.

生がはじまり、終わりを迎えるまでの生きていく様、日常。その"日常に宿る生命力"を、暮らしの場所である糸島や、生まれ育った地である益子、そして、子ども達がいたずらに手を出した一筆などに触発されながら、豊かな色彩を用いて無邪気に描く。Through vivid, layered expressions, I explore the arc of life in all its forms—living beings, objects, and events—tracing their beginnings, evolutions, and inevitable ends. Within those transitions, I seek to illuminate the often-overlooked emotions that define existence: fleeting joy, quiet despair, subtle hope.

陶芸家の父の元、幼少期から粘土遊びを日常にして育った影響から、自らの作品を一度破いて張り合わせるコラージュ作品や、絵の具とモデリングペーストで描く抽象画など、立体的で遊び心のある表現を好む。I find inspiration in the textures and materials of everyday life, often repurposing them as mediums to give form to unseen energies. I also actively engage in collaborative projects born from encounters—with people, places, and moments—believing that creation is most alive when shared.

制作の過程では「画材を最後まで使い切る」ことを大切にしている。自身が使う絵の具はもちろん、ワークショップに参加した方々が残した絵の具や、チューブの口に残った絵の具の塊なども、素材として活かし、作品へと変える。In all my work, I strive to draw forth the subtle, persistent life force that quietly flows through the fabric of our daily lives.
