福岡県糸島で活動する/糸島を訪れたアーティスト達がコラボして、糸島のチルな空気感を世界に届ける、COLORAN KORAN.JP主催のコレクティブ アート＆ミュージック プロジェクト 「Chill in Itoshima ～糸島でチルしよ～」のリリース第四弾、「静寂 (feat.わわ)」 by JP’s PlayRoom。
本作品は、2人の高校生アーティストとのコラボ作品。JP’s PlayRoomのオーガニックなサウンドに“わわ”の等身大の歌詞と歌声、“五葉”による透明感のあるアートワーク「灯」が重なり、チルなベッドルームミュージック＆アートに昇華された。
わわによるコメント：「静寂」は、考えすぎたり、疲れたりした時に聴いてほしい曲です。落ち込んでる人にも、そうじゃない人にも、それぞれのタイミングで届いたら嬉しいです。
五葉によるコメント：“わわ”さんの声や言葉から伝わってくる静寂の奥に潜む、小さな灯のような感情を、色で表現したいと思って描きました。聴いて、見て、感じてもらえたら嬉しいです。
JP’s PlayRoomによるコメント：当時中学生だった”わわ”が歌っているのを拝聴した時は、「こんなに歌の感じがいい子が糸島に。。。！」と驚きました。数年経って念願のコラボが実現して最初に制作した作品が「静寂」です。”わわ”の声に浸って頂ける作品になっていますので、お楽しみください。“五葉”さんがレコーディングに参加したり、”わわ”と対話したりしながら描いたアートワーク「灯」は、本楽曲の世界観をより引き出し、深めていると感じています。高校生の感性で彩られながら、幅広い世代に響くアート＆ミュージックではないかと思います。
- クレジット -本楽曲の作詞・作曲は、わわとJP’s PlayRoomが共作。全楽器演奏、ミキシング、音楽プロデュースは、JP’s PlayRoomが担当した。マスタリングは、ロンドンのメトロポリス・スタジオにて、Oasis・Pet Shop Boys・Blur等の楽曲を手掛けてきたAndy 'Hippy' Baldwinが担当した。アートワークは五葉が担当した。

This track is a collaboration with two high school artists. JP's PlayRoom's organic sound merges seamlessly with wawa's raw, heartfelt voice and honest lyrics, while Goyo's translucent artwork "Faint Light" visually expands the world of the song. The result is a deeply chill bedroom music & art experience.

wawa "Stillness" is a song I'd like people to listen to when they're feeling overwhelmed or tired. Whether you're going through a tough time or not, I hope it reaches you when the moment feels right.
Goyo When I heard wawa's voice and lyrics, I felt a small but warm light hiding in the stillness. I tried to express that emotion through color. I'd be happy if you could feel it-through both the sound and the visuals.
JP's PlayRoom The first time I heard wawa sing-back when she was still in junior high-I thought, "Wow, there's someone with such a special voice here in Itoshima..." Years later, our long-awaited collaboration has finally happened, and this first song we made together is "Stillness." I hope you enjoy immersing yourself in her voice. Goyo's artwork "Faint Light", created through conversations with wawa and even participating in the recording sessions, beautifully expands the emotional depth of this song. It's a work of art and music colored by the sensibilities of high school artists, yet capable of resonating across generations.
