絵を「完成」させようと、
黙々と創作していたけれど、
観てくださった人と絵の間に
新たな表現が生まれる“隙間”を創る、
ある意味「未完成」な絵が
「完成」なのかも知れない。
I used to work in silence, trying to bring a painting to “completion.” But perhaps a painting that leaves an empty space — where a new expression can arise between the viewer and the work — a painting that is, in a sense, “unfinished,” is what being “finished” truly means.
