「二拠点生活を始めるので新居に飾ります！」“We're beginning a life between two homes, so we'll hang it in the new place!”
搬入の時、個展会場 日本橋 Double Tall Art & Espresso Bar オーナーの服部さんと私で、「入り口っぽい！！」と、意気投合して、お客様をお迎えしていた“虹の時間”。
新しい生活の入り口に、この絵をお迎え頂いた。
この絵は一度、別の展示に出していたのだけれど、今回の個展に出すためにかなり筆を加えた1枚。
そして、額装により完成した。
絵の周りのマット紙を無難にクリーム色にするか薄いラベンダーにするかかなり悩んだ末に少し冒険してみたのだけどそれがとても良かった。
額装が終わった時に、“こんなに良い絵だったのか！！”と、自分でびっくりした1枚。
オーナーさんとそのご家族にたくさんの“虹の時間”が降り注ぎますように…！
During the install of my solo show at Double Tall Art & Espresso Bar in Nihonbashi, the owner, Mr. Hattori, and I instantly agreed — “It feels just like an entrance!!” — and so this painting stood at the door, welcoming the guests.
Now it has been welcomed into a home, at the threshold of a new life.
I had shown this painting once before, at another exhibition, but reworked it considerably for this solo show.
And it was completed by framing.
I agonized over whether to keep the mat around it a safe cream or a pale lavender; in the end I ventured a little — and it turned out wonderfully.
When the framing was done, I surprised myself: “Was it always this good?!”
May many hours of rainbow pour down upon the owner and their family…!
