毎年、描いている鯉のぼり🎏
自分で言うのもなんだけど、この絵は久しぶりに、私らしさ全開な作品になったように思う。
絵を描き始めてちょうど5年。
最初は勢いと情熱だけで描いていたけどここ一年くらい色々と試行錯誤していてなかなかバシッと決まる子が生まれなかった。
一方で、音を描くライブペインティングはその瞬間の勢いのまま描いていたらこの一年で人前で演じる機会がぐっと増えた。
今年の鯉のぼりの土台となったキャンバスは3年前にライブペインティングで描き、1-2年前に縁を描いたまま眠っていたもの。
新緑の季節、青空を舞う鯉のぼりを見ていたらキャンバスの中に鯉のぼりが泳ぎ始めて、ライブペインティングのような感覚で鯉のぼりを描き重ねていった。
なんだか、ふわっと完成した。そんな一枚である。
Every year, I paint koinobori 🎏 This piece truly feels like me.
It has been exactly five years since I started painting. At first, I painted with nothing but momentum and passion. But over the past year or so, I've been experimenting and searching in many different ways, and it felt difficult to create a piece that truly clicked.
At the same time, with my live painting performances — where I paint sound and music in the moment — opportunities to perform in front of people have increased dramatically over the past year.
The canvas that became the foundation for this year's koinobori was originally created during a live painting session three years ago, then left resting after I painted the border one or two years later.
As I watched koinobori swimming across the blue sky in this season of fresh greenery, they began to swim inside the canvas as well. With the same feeling as live painting, I layered the koinobori onto the work one after another.
It somehow came together softly. That is what this piece is.
